  • Robin Kelly-Dunton

    Robin Kelly-Dunton is a Sacramento native dedicated to advancing equity by bridging opportunity gaps through education, advocacy, and community-led action that drives collective impact. She earned a B.A. in Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Pan-African and a minor in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and is currently a graduate student in the inaugural cohort of CSUS’s M.A. in Ethnic Studies program, with plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the field.

    Robin serves as the Sankofa Museum Project Graduate Research Lead and Internship & Student Development Manager. She is a Cooper-Woodson Scholar, CSUS IMPACT Fellow, and a Senior Fellow of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program (Class XIII). Grounded in a Pan-African lens, her work centers culturally relevant education, faith, Black identity, family dynamics, and community engagement. She also co-examined Life History and Risk Proclivity through the CSUS Psychology Cooperative Research Lab.

    Previously, Robin served as a Senior District Representative in the California State Assembly and as a mentor with the California Legislative Black Caucus African American Leaders of Tomorrow (AALT) Program. She now serves as Board President of Women’s Empowerment, continuing her commitment to racial justice, education, and community empowerment.


  • Brenda Drew

    Brenda Drew is a graduating master's student in Pan African Studies at the University of California State, Los Angeles (CSULA). In Fall 2026, they plan to pursue their doctorate in Afro-American Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where they will continue their investigative work on how fatphobia impacts plus-sized Black womxn and femme bodies. They hold two bachelor's degrees in History and Africana Studies with a minor in Cultural Proficiency from San Diego State University. They also serve as the Black Student Union president at CSULA and have experience in many student leadership positions throughout their academic career. Brenda is dedicated to uplifting Black voices and furthering Black Studies as a liberatory, intersectional discipline.
